Meet Mikroponent – Ambassador for Elmia Subcontractor 2026
With high-tech precision, strong delivery capability, and a long-term focus on collaboration, Mikroponent in Värnamo has been appointed official ambassador for Elmia Subcontractor 2026. The company specializes in the manufacturing of thin sheet metal components for demanding applications across sectors such as medical technology, the defense industry, and advanced industrial production.
– It is an honor for us to be appointed ambassador for Elmia Subcontractor. The fair is the most important meeting place we have during the year, where we can meet customers, suppliers, and partners and showcase what we can contribute, says Jörgen Lindqvist, CEO of Mikroponent.
Mikroponent was founded in Värnamo in 1973 and is today a leading player in the production of extremely thin and precise metal components. With production ranging from hundredths of a millimeter up to a few millimeters in thickness, the company delivers components that meet exceptionally high demands for precision, traceability, and quality. The products are often invisible to the end user – but crucial for function, safety, and performance.
Resilience in practice
This year’s theme for Elmia Subcontractor, Resilience powered by industry, is closely aligned with Mikroponent’s everyday reality. For the company, resilience means flexibility in production, robust processes, and long-term relationships – throughout the value chain.
– We have built a highly flexible production setup and work systematically with risk analysis and risk management. This allows us to continue delivering even in times of disruption or uncertainty. Resilience is not a buzzword for us – it is a practical necessity, says Jörgen Lindqvist.
As a supplier to the defense industry, the requirements are particularly high – something that also strengthens the company’s offering to other customer segments.
– The requirements from the defense industry permeate our entire production. They make us a more robust and reliable supplier, enabling us to deliver with the same high standards to customers in areas such as medical technology and advanced industry, he continues.
A subcontractor role in transformation
Mikroponent is often involved early in customers’ development processes, contributing manufacturing expertise already at the idea and design stage.
– Our role is often to bridge the gap between idea and production. By being involved early, we can contribute to solutions that are both technically feasible and scalable for industrial production, says Jörgen Lindqvist.
As ambassador for Elmia Subcontractor 2026, Mikroponent aims to highlight the role of subcontractors in the industry.
